Abstract. The issues of representation of Bulgarian culture in Russia, the activities of the Bulgarian cultural Institute to promote various forms of Bulgarian culture are discussed. The problems of globalization and its influence on the practice of art, as well as the creation of new cultural forms that are relevant in the modern world are touched upon. Special attention is paid to the problems of preservation of tradition and cultural heritage in the (post)modern globalized world.
